About Reneé Rapp

“I think you’re at constant war with yourself, and you’re in constant competition with you and the best version of you,” Reneé Rapp told Apple Music. “You are constantly feeling like you need to be doing more, like you need to be working harder, like you are not good enough, like you are just at the mercy of everyone and everything around you—and you are.” No matter her inner demons, though, the singer exudes confidence, as demonstrated by her unfiltered interviews and willingness to unpack her most painful feelings for the sake of music. Born in 2000 in Huntersville, NC, she first rose to prominence via acting: a co-starring role on HBO Max’s The Sex Lives of College Girls and her portrayal of Regina George in the Broadway musical Mean Girls (and, later, the 2024 movie). In the wake of this success, Rapp signed a record deal and released her first EP, 2022’s Everything to Everyone, and a debut album, 2023’s Snow Angel. The latter features the Fleetwood Mac-esque pop-rocker “Talk Too Much” and the brash, R&B-influenced revenge song “Tummy Hurts,” remixed with Coco Jones. A late-2023 collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, “Not My Fault,” embraces uptempo electro-disco vibes. She used 2025’s BITE ME as a personal reset. “I set out to make music I would want to listen to, and I set out to not compromise a single thing about my personality and be unwaveringly loud about it—and I did that.”
