Claudine Longet

About Claudine Longet

French singer Claudine Longet recorded a series of bewitchingly ethereal albums much revered by aficionados of smooth, sophisticated '60s pop. She enjoyed her greatest commercial success with her 1967 full-length debut, Claudine, which peaked at number 11 in the U.S on its way to gold certification. It included her versions of popular songs by the Beatles, Francis Lai, and Buffy Sainte-Marie, among others. Amid occasional film and television roles, Longet continued to record into the '70s, including the 1972 album Let's Spend the Night Together.
