Jessica Moss

Perhaps best known as a member of post-rock ensemble Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra, violinist and composer Jessica Moss' solo work explores more experimental avenues. A prominent figure in Canada's music scene since the 2000s, her debut solo record, Pools of Light, was released in 2017 and was illustrative of how she filters environmental thematic concerns though post-classical soundscapes. She continued this approach on subsequent solo works like 2022's Galaxy Heart and 2025's Unfolding which also leaned into themes of activism and humanitarian issues. Additionally, Moss has composed and performed for theater, dance, and film, while collaborating widely with artists in a number of genres.
