In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of the first concerts I ever went to was Sufjan Stevens. My mom was a big fan and I was inspired by his mastery of various genres. Despite the eclectic styles, his emotional lyrics persisted. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Kendrick Lamar, To Pimp a Butterfly The Beatles, Abbey Road (Remastered) The Strokes, Room On Fire To Pimp A Butterfly is the perfect modern concept album. I doubt rap music will ever hit an artistic peak as high as the one Kendrick set. Room On Fire is an energetic ode to over excess. Abbey Road is the best band of all time at their best. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Captain Nemo” This song was developed from a simple guitar riff from Alex. I wrote some lyrics and the song grew from demo into a concert favorite very quickly. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? We loved traveling around the midwest meeting new fans and musicians. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Once we get interviewed by Nardwuar we've officially made it.
