First it was the Beatles, later, his Jazz and blues collection, eventually all roads led to Dylan. Then I found hiphop. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bob Dylan, Another Side of Bob Dylan De La Soul, De La Soul Is Dead Miles Davis, Kind of Blue Rap Golden Era native Tongues 90's boom bap and feel good vibes rule. Kind of Blue could have been A Love Supreme, Headhunters or Mahavishnu Orchestra or Alice Coltrane, jazz that is spiritual and beautiful. As a lyricist, all roads lead to Dylan. It's a story, a mood, warm instrumentation, production, a mix of live instruments, samples and electronics, experimentation, collaboration and something that feels like you could hear over your back fence.
