Rantanplan

Emerging just behind a new wave of ska-affected punk in America, Rantanplan offer familiar, raucous, horn-assisted blasts of musical energy with a streak of darker political humor -- a normal enough expectation gone askew by hearing it expressed in the group's native German tongue. Over more than 30 years and multiple line-up changes (only one current member was present for early albums Kein Schulterklopfen (Gegen Den Trend) (1996) and Köpfer (1998)), the group soldiered on, even earning some chart success from albums Ahoi (2023) and Geschwedet (2026).
