About Bad Nomad

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was a kid and my parents brought us to church, the only thing I found interesting was the music. I used to crouch down in the pew, line the music books along the bench, and pretend I was playing a piano. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bon Iver, For Emma, Forever Ago Funkadelic, One Nation Under a Groove (Remastered Edition) Bonus Tracks Radiohead, The Bends "The Bends" - A top-notch album that's one of the most pleasing to listen to sonically. "For Emma, Forever Ago" - It hit me at probably the most angsty time in college. "One Nation" - I spent a whole summer listening to this while mowing lawns. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “III” This is a deep cut. It's the 3rd movement from my string quartet "Of Unfathered Wood". It means a lot to be because I don't feel like I wrote it, I feel like it came from somewhere else. Sometimes I listen to it and cry. Thank you; I know you know. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I sang at an open mic in 2018. It was the first time I sang in public in 10 years. I was so nervous. It was really hard. My hands were cold. I sang two songs and the guy running it said I could do a third. It was terrifying and marvelous. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Yes, just about everything. Despite doing this as long as I have, I haven't really "begun". I'd like to play a live show. I'd like to play a festival. I'd like to record in a real recording studio. So many dreams; so few realized; so little time.
