Milo J is the alias of Argentine rapper Camilo Joaquín Villarruel. Initially associated with the BajoWest collective, he started uploading his own material on social media in 2021 and in August 2022 achieved his first viral hit with "Milagrosa." From that moment on, his rise was nothing short of meteoric: in a little over a year, he had scored collaborations with established stars such as Nicki Nicole and Duki and released several singles and his debut EP, the trap-influenced 511. In October 2023, he was summoned by serial hitmaker Bizarrap, who produced their joint EP En Dormir Sin Madrid. Barely a month later he released his first full-length, 111, which featured Peso Pluma, Yami Sadfie, Yahritza y Su Esencia, and Nicki Nicole. Milo J explored a vastly different direction with 2025's La Vida Era Más Corta, an eclectic art-pop album fusing Argentine folklore with urban and experimental sounds.
