A distinctive voice in regional Mexican music, NXNNI blends corridos tumbados with J-pop and K-pop influences through a female-centered perspective. Born Estefania Córdova Acosta in Monterrey, she launched her solo career in the early 2020s and developed a colorful kawaii-inspired aesthetic that set her apart from the genre's male-dominated norms. Her songs focus on youthful experiences and romance while incorporating electro, R&B, urban, sierreño, and cumbia elements. Singles such as "Tonta" and "Monster High" helped establish her corridos kawaii style before appearing on her 2025 debut album, Mi Mundo Kawaii. That same year, festival and awards appearances expanded her profile internationally, and she followed with the EP Doki Doki in 2026.
