Pale Jay

Keeping his identity shrouded with minimal online presence and a signature balaclava, soul singer/songwriter Pale Jay appeared out of the blue in September 2021 with "Dos Uvas" before issuing his debut EP The Celestial Suite the following month. A trained jazz vocalist and pianist, the musician's early sound was nostalgic to the core, with his resonant vocals anchored to a warm and languid soul sound. His first full-length album arrived in 2023. The eight-track Bewilderment was a butter-smooth expansion of his signature style, reflecting on themes of family and identity amid more uptempo directions and a wider set of influences.
