About Ada Rovatti

Italian-born tenor saxophonist Ada Rovatti is a fluent jazz improviser and composer with a style that straddles acoustic post-bop, funk, and contemporary styles. She emerged on the New York scene in the early 2000s, leading her own groups and playing in big bands. Rovatti has released a number of small group albums, many featuring her husband trumpeter Randy Brecker, including 2003's Under the Hat, 2005's Airbop, and 2014's Disguise. The couple shined a spotlight on their creative partnership with 2019's Brecker Plays Rovatti: Sacred Bond, while 2024's The Hidden World of Piloo found Rovatti collaborating with vocalists like Kurt Elling.
