In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories is staring at a cassette player in the first house I remember living in. I was only two or three years old, completely fascinated and unable to understand how such a small machine could produce music. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Black Uhuru, Classic Black Uhuru - The Universal Masters Collection Bob Marley & The Wailers, Kaya Deluxe Edition Manu Chao, Clandestino Kaya introduced me to reggae and sparked my lifelong connection to the genre. The Universe became my masterclass in reggae production, Clandestino showed me how Manu Chao could blend cultures, sounds, and ideas into something completely original. Tell us why you chose this song. “Rise Up” “Rise Up” is special to me because it is about learning to rise, value yourself, and find love within before you can truly give love to others. It is also deeply personal because I created it with Tali Roots—my wife and el amor de mi vida. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? As a producer, so much of my work happens quietly inside the studio, which makes it difficult to choose one defining moment. Every artist I’ve worked with has brought a unique experience, and each collab has become a memorable part of my journey. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? One dream still on my bucket list is to create a reggae album that people genuinely want to experience from beginning to end.
