In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Singing along to The Locomotion on the BIG 100.3FM Oldies station as a kid. Later I found out that our bass player Nick loved that station as a kid too. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Born Ruffians, Red, Yellow & Blue Dr. Dog, Fate Titus Andronicus, Local Business Impossible to pick just three but Red, Yellow & Blue really showed me what kind of rhythmic depth you could have with a three piece. Tell us why you chose this song. “Engines” Lyrically and musically this was kind of one that fell in my lap. I hadn't written much during the pandemic- the chorus was inspiration from a friend while we watched airplanes flying by. The simplicity of that moment combined with the events of 2020 What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing at a convenience store in Austin during SXSW. Tearing it up in the chip aisle 1,400 miles from home was a blast. Those lowkey settings center the music so much more that a big stage and bright lights. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To play another show with an attentive audience, that's all we ever want.
