In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was in my first "band" when I was 8 - I was the drummer even though I had never touched a drum kit. We had a name, a logo, and everything, all we had to do was play some music. As I'm now an electronic producer, we can see how that went! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? CharlesTheFirst, The Ascent Grieves, Together/Apart (Deluxe Edition) William Crooks, ache, Youth Group I grew up on Together/Apart, I loved the realism, the dark undertones, and the groove. The Ascent opened my mind to "dubstep, but make it pretty." Youth Group is a modern masterpiece, a masterclass in breaking all the rules. No such thing as genres! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Empathica” This song was inspired by book 7 of The Dark Tower. Despite a heartbreaking sense of hopelessness, Empathica was a beautiful, snowy land run by emotion. The intrinsic contradiction in the inspiration for this song makes it one of my favorites! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I was playing a festival in TN, and met an artist making INCREDIBLE music right in my genre. After talking, he said I was one of his inspirations when he first started making music, and that is just so frickin' cool to hear. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Despite playing shows around USA for several years, I've yet to go on an official tour. I work full time in the industry and know tours are grueling, but I crave the experience of hitting the road for a sustained amount of time. Some day!
