About Yalmar
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of the moments that shaped me was hearing Daddy Yankee when I was a little kid. I got so obsessed that even my notebooks and my style were influenced by him. I'd say that memory is one of the many that sparked my passion for music. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bad Bunny, X 100PRE Cosculluela, El Príncipe [Ghost Edition] Michael Jackson, Bad Bad shaped me with its darker, sexy sound. El Príncipe taught me storytelling and lyrical sharpness I try to bring into my music. X 100PRE opened doors and showed that you can explore new styles without losing your essence. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Amigaaa” Even though it’s one of my oldest songs, it brings back great memories and was really fun to create. There’s a part of it that feels personal to me, but the message is something I wanted everyone to connect with. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I feel like every moment in my career has been special in its own way. Each song carries a memory with it, and whenever I want to relive that moment, I just play it and everything comes back. That connection is what keeps me going. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I’m just getting started, so there are still countless things I want to achieve. What matters most to me is enjoying the process and growing as an artist. I want to keep creating moments and memories for myself and for the world.
