Baggh-E SMG

Mumbai rapper and lyricist Baggh-E SMG anchors the tight-knit Punjabi hip-hop trio Sardari Music Gang alongside BIG KAY SMG and Farmaan SMG. Known for his introspective storytelling and technical precision across flows, he helps define the group’s ‘new school’ sound. Beginning as early as 2021 with work on Punjabi artist Singga’s Thank Me Later EP, Baggh-E helmed the bar-fest “SMG Cypher” with Real Boss in 2023, confirming his potency as a writer. His reflective narratives and sharp wordplay shine over SMG’s experimental sounds, from skittering trap beats to moody R&B-inflected rap as on “OVERSEAS” from their 2024 EP WHEN WE RIDE. With later projects such as F.A.T.H.E.R and “Summer Vacay”, Baggh-E shows versatility across beats with house, R&B and trap influences. The 2025 EPs Let’s Create The Time and SIDEWALK 2 STARDOM further emphasise his role as SMG’s lyrical backbone, with memorable hooks and powerful verses that capture the pulse of a generation redefining Punjabi hip-hop from the ground up.
