About Tassilo Probst

Something of a child prodigy, violinist Tassilo Probst became a seasoned performer while still in his teens. Probst took up the violin at age four and was trained in the Suzuki method. As a small child, he performed with his father and brother for Pope Benedict XVI in St. Peter's Square and at the Pantheon in Greece. At 14, Probst made his major-orchestra soloist debut with the Bad Reichenhall Philharmonic in the Violin Concerto in A minor, Op. 82, of Glazunov. By the time Probst entered his twenties, he was already a seasoned performer. Probst is active as a chamber music player, performing with such figures as violinist Daniel Hope and soprano Chen Reiss. Probst returned in 2023 with an appearance on the Jewish Chamber Orchestra of Munich album Weinberg, performing Mieczyslaw Weinberg's Concertino for violin and string orchestra, Op. 42.
