About Sef Kombo

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories was spending half terms in Braintree with my friend Mo, who introduced me to hip-hop. Discovering Biggie, Tupac, Wu-Tang and The Lox shifted how I felt music, it became something deeper than just sound. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Justin Timberlake, FutureSex/LoveSounds Nas, Stillmatic The Notorious B.I.G., Life After Death (2014 Remaster) Life After Death, Stillmatic and FutureSex/LoveSounds each shaped me differently. Life After Death showed me melody in rap, Stillmatic taught me artistic growth, and FS/LS opened my mind to experimental creation. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? A standout moment was selling out HERE at Outernet. It showed me that the sound and direction I’ve stayed true to can genuinely connect with people on a larger scale. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Releasing my own music was the one thing left on my bucket list. It completes the circle, but also opens up everything that comes next.
