The Head Trips

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Our first live show was at Westside Bowl in Youngstown. This venue has been foundational in the recent growth of the local music scene as well as the band itself. We have been back at the Bowl many times since then, and we love performing there. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Green Day, Dookie Nirvana, Nevermind Weezer, Weezer These albums have been especially influential for the current members of The Head Trips. Our sound is heavily influenced by the mixture of grunge, punk, garage rock, and alternative elements included on these records and others from the same era. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Inferno” "Inferno" is the ideal introduction to The Head Trips. It is easily one of our most energetic songs in live settings, and the writing and recording processes exemplify this and also harken back to the origins of the band itself. Tread with caution... What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One memorable moment for us as a band has been when we recently performed new music for a crowd of people we mostly did not know, and yet they were singing back some of our song lyrics to us. This was after these people had seen us as several shows. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? One thing that we want to do as a band is go on a legitimate tour in any region of North America. We have established ourselves in our local scene and surrounding areas, even venturing out of state at times, and we want to continue that expansion.
