In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Growing up, I sang in choir and played flute—and was lucky to come of age when great music was everywhere: on the radio, in stores, in cars. That’s what made me want to create, too. I began writing poems, then full songs, using the I Am T-Pain app. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Drake, Take Care (Deluxe Version) Eric Bellinger, The Rebirth J. Cole, Friday Night Lights These three albums are my definition of "no skip." Every track could stand alone, and they’ve massively shaped my sound, my songwriting, and my memories. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Recording a jazz album would be a thrilling, unexpected turn—and while I’m at it, I’d love to collaborate with artists from around the world, fusing different musical traditions together.
