The work of Charlie Loane, a Belfast-born singer/songwriter based in South London, piglet's intimate and intense songs land somewhere between lo-fi bedroom pop and alt-folk. Starting in 2020, Loane began issuing a series of emotionally direct EPs and singles that commented on politics, society, and the experiences of trans and queer people. A collaboration with Porridge Radio and a licensing deal with PIAS helped boost his profile ahead of releases like 2022's Seven Songs and 2024's For Frank Forever.
