Growing up surrounded by Zambian sounds and community energy, Chanda na Kay’s earliest musical memories were shaped by rhythm and culture. WITCH shows the power of Zambian roots and Zamrock, Wizkid made in lagos is a masterclass in Afrobeat, Fireboy DML’s Apollo mixes authentic African vibes with contemporary flows. Sianene & Coopticker)” One of our favorite songs on Apple Music is Mapopowe. It captures the essence of real Zambian culture and sound, blended with modern flows and energy. It’s a true reflection of who we are and the kind of music we want to share with the world. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most memorable moments in our career was the Kopala Experience, where we filled Woodlands Stadium to full capacity with over 40,000 people. Seeing that kind of love and energy from the crowd was unforgettable. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There’s still a lot we want to achieve, including taking our music to a global stage and collaborating with artists from different parts of the world. We also want to keep representing Zambian culture in a way that connects with people everywhere.
