Combat

Combat, a cult American thrash metal group, emerged in 1984 with a sound deeply rooted in pummeling New York hardcore and neck-snapping speed metal. Founded in Queens, the band signed a deal with Combat Records (no relation), which led to a name change. Embracing the more familiar moniker Napalm in 1986, the group released a series of potent thrash/power metal efforts and underwent numerous lineup changes before ceasing operations in 1999. However, in 2000, brothers Jeff and Rex Rossbach (two-thirds of the original Combat lineup) started playing again under the Combat banner, marking a new chapter in the band's journey.
