In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. At age 15 I attended a rock concert with my friends. After only a few songs, I knew I was destined to be a live performer What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? King Diamond, Abigail Pantera, Far Beyond Driven Soundgarden, Superunknown Soundgarden shaped me and became my favorite band of all time. Pantera was a right-of-passage into my metal obsession. King Diamond shaped the way I play lead guitar (Andy LaRocque) Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Take His Place (feat. Josephina)” I co-wrote this song early on in my songwriting journey in Los Angeles, right after signing a pub deal with Jason Evigan. The song sat for 6 years, and after creating the Cymek project I had the idea to flip the song into a melodic bass track. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Going to the 2022 Grammys as a nominee! Cymek was nominated for remixing my friends Papa Roach Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Touring as Cymek! And of course collaborating with more of my favorite artists
