Mourning Noise

Against all odds, the New Jersey borough of Lodi birthed not one but two bands that played a part in pioneering the horror punk subgenre. While the Misfits remain the godfathers of that distinctive style, their neighbors Mourning Noise only belatedly received similar notice long after their mid-‘80s breakup, by which point the band’s key members had made imprints in yet more horror punk groups.
