About Kice
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Growing up in Jordan, I’d hear Samira Tawfiq records in our living room while house music drifted from the streets outside. I became obsessed with how the Arabic doumbek rhythm felt like a natural to the city’s 4/4 house pulse. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Amr Diab, Amr Diab Amr Diab’s Nour El Ein proved Arabic pop had a global groove, while Daft Punk’s Discovery taught me to give house music soul. St. Germain’s Tourist showed me the perfect blueprint for blending live instruments with deep house. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Al Ain (Radio Edit)” "Al Ain" (with Kazdoura) is a sonic homecoming that reimagines a folk melody from my childhood. By layering those Levantine vocals over a Chicago house backbone, I finally bridged my two identities into one cohesive sound. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing House music as Treble Squad at Burning Man was a spiritual milestone. Seeing a global crowd in the dust connect deeply with Middle Eastern scales confirmed that the Sirocco sound I’m building is a truly universal language. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to host a dedicated Arabic House stage at a major festival like Coachella to give this movement a permanent global home. I'm also focused on scaling Treble Academy to empower the next generation of MENA producers.
