Raised in a family of classical musicians, Dubai-based DJ/pianist/drummer/producer Khaney channeled his upbringing and skills into a catalog of upbeat and percussive tracks that stylishly blend amapiano, Afrobeats, and Afro-house. In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Everyday since I was born I listened to classical music in our house because all members of my family are professional classical pianists. So I saw them practice every day since the morning till the night. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Eminem, The Eminem Show Green Day, American Idiot blink-182, Enema of the State These 3 albums are very important for me. I started to listen to music from The Eminem Show. But after I changed my taste from hip-hop to rock and Green Day came to my life. But then I found the love of my life—Blink 182. Still my favorite band! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When I was 16 I played in punk rock band in my hometown. And one day we played a show at the main square in another city for more than 8,000 people. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I have a lot of things I want to do. Long tours all over the world, big shows, different awards. But first of all I want a lot of people to hear and to feel my music.
