An Indonesian metal band, formed in Bandung, Komunal chose to sculpt its guttural sound based on influences ranging from Led Zeppelin and Pantera to more local outfits, such as Godbless and Jeruji. The band -- Doddy Hamson (vocals), Muhammad Anwar Sadath (guitar), Arie Khomaini (bass), and Reza HK (drums) -- released the album Panorama on Hamsonkiller in 2004. 2008 would see the group release Hitam Semesta, this time on Progresiv Barbar. ~ Chris True
