About Big Sad 1900

Rapper Big Sad 1900 represents Los Angeles with an urgent if coolheaded approach that suits a distinctively West Coast sound informed by G-funk. He made his first featured appearances in the late 2010s and hit the ground running the next decade, releasing no fewer than four projects in 2020. He was behind well over a dozen projects during the next two years, issuing full-lengths such as City on Fire (again with Uce Lee), I Don't Tap in or Out, and Welcome to Los Angeles: The Truth. Big Sad continued the pace with Die a Legend, 60 Days in Seattle (featuring "Where Would I Be"), and 1937 South Corning St. among his dozen-plus releases throughout 2023 and 2024. Subsequently active more with loose tracks than with EPs and full-lengths, Big Sad nonetheless issued a sequel to Die a Legend in 2025, and in 2026 delivered Until Then 2 and Midnight in Los Angeles.
