Qur'an Shaheed

Qur'an Shaheed is a singer/songwriter, poet, and pianist who synthesizes progressive R&B, avant-garde jazz, and sound art with painstakingly crafted and improvised methods of composition. The West Coast native released her first EP, Process, in 2020, and offered the more exploratory Pulse in 2025. In addition to her solo work, Shaheed has also recorded with the likes of Jimetta Rose, Sudan Archives, and Niecy Blues. Beside her father, trumpeter Nolan Shaheed, she has also worked with Horace Tapscott's Pan-Afrikan Peoples Arkestra.
