Effy

Effy is a London-based DJ and producer who puts a contemporary twist on classic house and acid techno with additional inspiration from other vintage club sounds. Raised just outside Blackpool, she was drawn to rave, big beat, and drum'n'bass when she was young, and soon took up DJing and production. She debuted in 2020 with a clutch of euphoric singles such as "Fluffy Clouds," "Ara," and "Bodied," and the next year issued the electro-influenced "Raging." In 2022, she released the four-track Not What It Seems EP, led by "Not Yours," a buzzing liberation anthem that also became the name of her new label and club night. After the Highest Level EP in 2023, she and Mall Grab teamed up in 2024 for the rush-inducing "iluv," her biggest single to that point. FOR THE CLUB, a three-track release, was out before the end of the year.
