Duo Ruut

Duo Ruut are Ann-Lisett Rebane and Katariina Kivi, a pair of Estonian musicians whose radiant folk music is played together on a shared instrument. Inspired by folk traditions but filtered through a distinctively modern lens, their original songs are performed face-to-face with both women plucking the strings of a single zither while singing in harmony. This intimate and minimalist approach has won them acclaim throughout Europe where they have released two full-length albums, 2019's Tuule Sõnad and 2025's Ilmateade.
