In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical memory is seeing my mom perform when I was three or four. From far back in the dark, I heard her voice fill the room and watched it connect with the audience. That moment stuck with me and shaped my love for music forever. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Gotye, Making Mirrors Lupe Fiasco, Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor N.E.R.D, Fly or Die "Making Mirrors" wowed me with its songwriting, inventive sampling, and self-production. "Fly or Die" blended genres and inspired my album title GASPING4AIR. "Food & Liquor" shaped my storytelling with its cinematic yet pure hip-hop sound. Tell us why you chose this song. “only you” This song is special because after emergency spine surgery left me with permanent paralysis and performing seated, I feared making dance music. But its energy is undeniable and when people hear it they move and that is something I am deeply proud of. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Stepping back on stage 15 months after doctors said that I may not walk again. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There is still so much I want to do. I want to tour and sell out venues worldwide and work with other artists. Awards, hits, and charts are not my focus. I care about making the best music I can and sharing it with those who appreciate it.
