Charles Yang

Violinist Charles Yang focuses on contemporary music and is also active in pop and jazz genres. He is a member of the multi-genre string group Time for Three and has also collaborated with a wide variety of musicians, ranging from choreographer Twyla Tharp to Western swing bandleader Ray Benson. Yang is also a songwriter and composer whose works have appeared on various recordings. In 2024, he performed the violin concerto For a Younger Self by composer Kris Bowers on an album with the American Youth Symphony.
