Veeze

Immediately identifiable by his understated vocals and breathy ad libs, Veeze is a shrouded yet essential figure in the Michigan rap scene. He is somewhat of a musical enigma, building one of the genre's most die-hard fan bases despite rarely releasing material of his own. Though Veeze solidified his inimitable, lethargic style on his debut mixtape, Navy Wavy (2019), and a sparse collection of early-2020s anthems, he has remained as prominent outside of music as he has been within it -- he's been a constant presence in the social spheres and music videos of the region's most prolific artists. The release of Ganger (2023), his first proper album, brought him major critical attention and Billboard chart placings. Veeze's limited output since then includes featured appearances on tracks by fellow Detroiter Babyface Ray and EST Gee, as well as the Lil Yachty collaboration "Sorry Not Sorry" (2025).
