When Rivers Meet

This raucous Essex, England-based, husband-and-wife blues-rock duo were formed in 2016 and comprise Grace and Aaron Bond. Grace's passionate and soulful lead vocal lines and Aaron's riff-based guitar work suggest mainstream appeal, while Grace's simultaneous use of a slide resonator mandolin and violin lace their work with an earthy, 1930s Delta blues vibe. It was this approach that When Rivers Meet took for their 2017, self-released debut, Liberty. Two EPs -- 2019's The Uprising and 2020's Innocence of Youth -- were swiftly followed by We Fly Free, a comparatively live-sounding set and 2021's Saving Grace. Next, while still responsible for their own distribution, the band placed both 2023's Aces Are High and 2025's Addicted to You in the U.K Top Ten. For both of those records, as well as for 2026's Rhythm, Rust & Static, the band accentuated their heavier side, with increased use of overdriven guitars and distorted vocals.
