About Pntdxtr
In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest memory is rapping at Victory Outreach’s World Conference at 10 years old. I performed for children from all over the world. It was the same era 'Walk It Out' and 'Crank That' were massive hits and I Rapped over Party Like a Rockstar What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Eminem, The Slim Shady LP Lil Wayne, Tha Carter IV (Complete Edition) Slaughterhouse, Welcome To: Our House (Deluxe Version) Eminem is my favorite artist, while Slaughterhouse heavily inspired my lyrical ferocity and flow. Lil Wayne's Tha Carter IV is the exact blueprint that built my ultimate hustle and grind mentality. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Recklezz Over Everything” Recklezz Over Everything is a tribute to my friend Kevin Tatum, who passed away March 30, 2012, in Lancaster, CA. His loss triggered my sobriety, pulling me away from drugs, alcohol, and the party scene into a walk with Jesus Christ. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I debuted at World Conference 2015 as 'Anonymous', rapping for 51,000 total kids that week. Pastor Sonny Arguinzoni later coined the name 'Point Dexter', which I shortened to PNTDXTR, inspiring artists like EGR. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I've opened for Israel Houghton, rap battled EGR, and recorded songs with some of my favorite artists like Miles Minnick. The only major goal left on my bucket list is to drop a track featuring Lecrae.
