That experience led to the mandola, octave mandolin, mandocello, and composing/adapting these instruments to Americana, roots, blues, rock, jazz, and other musical styles. Devon Cox)” The Summer of ’82 began with a feeling I wanted to capture in music—memory, light, love for my wife, and the way one summer can resonate across a lifetime.
