Dame Area

Barcelona-based experimental "post-industrial" duo Dame Area combine raw analog synths, harsh noise, pounding live percussion, punk energy, and shouted, multilingual vocals. Dame Area was born when Catalan multi-instrumentalist and producer Viktor L. Crux met Italian Silvia Konstance at Màgia Roja, a label, cultural association, and venue he had co-founded in 2014. They began jamming together, clicked immediately, and had an outpouring of creativity. Live shows at the venue crystallized their sound and helped produce their debut, 2018's Centro di Gravitá. The follow-up, 2021's Ondas Tribales, attracted press attention across Europe, and they toured the continent relentlessly, becoming renowned for their visceral and confrontational live performances. 2022's Toda la Mentira Sobre Dame Area, a more low-key and reserved effort, was followed almost exactly two years later by a companion piece, Toda la Verdad Sobre Dame Area, their first album to truly capture the energy and assaultive power of their live show.
