Mount Palomar

Northern Irish experimental electronic music producer and DJ Mount Palomar combines EBM, noise, and analog techno to produce a raw, exciting, and cathartic sound. Born in Belfast, Neil Kerr fell in with a bad crowd in school and was branded a "disruptive attention-seeker" -- a label he later used as a track title. Kerr's first release as Mount Palomar was the 2019 EP Black Knight's Tango, a dark and driving electronic barrage written in response to the loss of his elder brother to cancer. The harsh, abrasive The Perils of Youth EP, on which he chronicled his difficult teenage experiences, followed later the same year. Kerr played the massive Berghain and Printworks clubs and his star was in the ascent until the COVID-19 pandemic put a halt to his career. He finally returned with 2023's intense Brace for Impact EP, which featured folk singer Joshua Burnside on the track "Simmer."
