About Manisha Sharma

Kurukshetra-born Manisha Sharma has become one of the most compelling voices in Haryanvi folk-pop, her appeal rooted in her vocal verve on soaring party songs. A graduate in music from Kurukshetra University, she began her singing career in 2013 with early debut “Breakup” before spending years honing her craft. In 2021, she collaborated with Masoom Sharma on a string of tracks that became Haryanvi staples—including “Kalyug” with Raj Mawer and “Badnam Gabru” with Masoom Sharma, the latter accumulating millions of streams and cementing a creative partnership that would define her peak output. Often singing over hard-hitting folk-electronic production, Sharma deals in lyrics that flip between rural imagery and swaggering bravado. The singer’s sharpest expressions are on songs such as “Bullet” (2022, lyrics by Bittu Shorkhi) and the rollicking duet “Competition” (2025, with Masoom Sharma, written by Rakesh Majreya), both of which spread rapidly across social media, the proving ground for contemporary Haryanvi music.
