In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Aberdeen is horns-based band known for its soulful melody-driven instrumental arrangements led by Brian Plautz. Many musicians in the band lived together and hosted jam sessions, playing this music until it formulated into something more official. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bon Iver, 22, A Million Glenn Gould, Bach: The Well-Tempered Clavier, Books I & II, BWV 846-893 The harmonies, melodies and inventive production techniques of Bon Iver have informed a lot of our sound. Bach's Well-Tempered Clavier is often a guiding light in using melody to inform harmony and to use counterpoint in our arrangements.
