In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I first discovered digital production at nine, and I would spend hours sat on my dad's computer putting loops together and improvising melodies and harmonies, or rearranging my favourite tracks. Nothing beats that feeling, it made me keep going. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Angie Stone, Mahogany Soul Erykah Badu, New Amerykah, Pt. 2: Return of the Ankh Maxwell, Now (2021 Remaster) I love the sounds and textures in 'New Amerykah, Pt. 2' - she pushes so many compositional boundaries. 'Mahogany Soul' was on LOOP as a teen, I could listen to Angie Stone all day. 'Now' was the first album I loved and was always on blast in my home! Tell us why you chose this song. “Drama (Have a Think About It)” I remember writing this song with so much pent up anger and frustration, and it really was the most perfect outlet and fusion of the genres I love. ALSO I workshopped this track with Snarky Puppy, who gave me the seal of approval!?? What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Connecting with new faces. It is one of the best feelings to have someone tell you they resonate with your music, and it really is the foundation of what I'm doing. I love it when people feel liberated to immerse themselves in a sonic story.
