David Mareček

Cellist David Mareček is a prominent orchestra administrator and an educator as well. Since 2011, he has been chief executive of the prestigious Czech Philharmonic. Mareček is an enthusiastic chamber music player and is also active as a vocal accompanist. He has made recordings in both those fields, and in 2024, he released a set of Dvořák's complete works for violin and piano with violinist Jiří Vodička.
