About Niña Polaca

With an urban sound that blends alternative rock and psychedelia influenced by 1980s Spanish pop, the band Niña Polaca gained prominence in 2020 with the single "Madrid Sin Ti," which became an anthem of the confinement brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Formed in 2018 in the Malasaña neighborhood of Madrid, the band released the EP Pontiak that year and signed with Subterfuge Records the following year. The success of "Madrid Sin Ti" led to the release of the compilation album De la línea diez al Sol (2020). The following year, the band released Asumiré la Muerte de Mufasa. The journey continued with Que Adoren Tuesos (2023), featuring hits like “Nora,” “Mucho Tiempo Contigo,” and “Los Días Malos.” In 2026, the group released ¿Dónde Está la ONU Cuando Más la Necesitas?, a more political and generational work that addressed tough themes without abandoning their characteristic sound.
