Puerto Rican rapper Guaynaa signed a major-label record deal after his laidback hip-hop single “Rebota” became a massive hit in Puerto Rico and Latin America. ∙ In 2019, a reggaeton-driven remix of “Rebota”—featuring Becky G, Farruko, Nicky Jam, and Sech—peaked at No. 28 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart. ∙ Guaynaa said that collaborating with Puerto Rican music legend Yandel on the 2019 single “Full Moon” “made one of my greatest childhood dreams come true.” ∙ The rapper was nominated for Most Promising Artist at the 2020 Premios Heat, which honor excellence in Latin Music. ∙ His track “Chicharrón” was nominated for a Latin Grammy for Best Reggaeton Performance in 2020.
