In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. In the summer of 1994 in an off-grid woodland cabin I began creating with the intention of realizing the music that I heard within at that time. Improvising I experienced the intense winds of emotion that became the musical voice that is Dzyan. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Keith Jarrett, The Köln Concert (Live) Mike Oldfield, Ommadawn The Who, Quadrophenia (Remastered) Remastered Ommadawn, a highly influential work that revealed to me the mystical power of music. The Koln Concert and Keith Jarret taught me to trust my creative instincts. Quadrophenia a band in their prime channeling the elemental power of wind and water. Tell us why you chose this song. “Indigo Flame” The rhythmic power of this piece of music still astounds me after 24 years. The strength of its musical development still satisfies my soul. It opens an album that carries on that strength and power throughout. Outro e-bow solo is phenomenal.
