In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was four years old, my parents took me to see The Charlie Daniels Band. This was at the height of their Devil Went Down To Georgia fame–probably 10000 people were there. I just remember wondering what that funny smell in the air was . . . What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Big Star, #1 Record Jeff Buckley, Grace Prince, Sign O' The Times I've covered more songs from #1 Record than probably any other. Grace is a masterpiece, a perfect record. Prince made like 10 perfect albums in a row, but I'll go with Sign because it has The Ballad of Dorothy Parker. These will all change tomorrow. Tell us why you chose this song. “Unkind” Unkind was written as I was processing my divorce, taking three years and a lot of reflection to finish. While not my most musically complex song, I feel I tapped into something very raw and emotional. It's rare to hear men sing about accountability.
