Daniela Darcourt

Born in Lima in 1996, Daniela Darcourt is one of Perú's most popular female salsa singers of her generation. A precocious talent, she studied music, singing, and dancing since childhood, and by her early teens she was a regular talent show contestant, as well as a member of a youth choir that performed nationally. In 2016 Darcourt joined the salsa band Son Tentación, a launching pad for a solo career that would begin two years later. She recorded 2019's Esa Soy Yo, her debut album, with Puerto Rican producer Master Chris. The 2022 live album El Reencuentro documented her first concert in Perú in two years and was also broadcasted on national television. Empezando Otra Vez, her sophomore studio album, appeared later that same year. The full-length Catarsis earned Dalcourt her first Latin Grammy nomination in the Best Salsa Album category, while Renacer saw the light in 2024 and the Esencia EP arrived in 2026.
