In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Our first show was at our local college in New York City. We were so loud that people had to cover their ears, but they still applauded! That's when we knew we were onto something. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Arctic Monkeys, AM Basement, Colourmeinkindness Jeff Rosenstock, We Cool? These three albums have two very important elements: tongue-in-cheek lyrics, and heavy music. This has been our foundation for everything. Even though all of these records hit different audiences, they can all make people move, think, and react. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Believe Me (Or Don’t)” We always wanted to make a dark song that you could dance to. The song is about a cheater from their perspective, and it required a lot of thought on how to best portray this evil narrator, while still making it sound vibey and sexy. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Headlining our favorite venues in our hometown of New York City, going on tour, learning that our heroes had started hearing our songs, and that our art resonates with people around the world who may not even know us. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Our bucket list only ever has one goal: To write the best song ever. Every song we make we try to get as close as possible to that.
